Jacob Stoops and Rocky Stoops

Hi, I’m Jacob Stoops (aka “Agent SEO). I’m the Director of Search Engine Optimization at People To My Site, a Columbus Search Engine Marketing that was recently named the 2nd-Fastest Growing Company in Central Ohio.

I’ve been a professional SEO Strategist and Consultant since 2006. My biggest goal is to try to teach others how to utilize fundamental to advanced SEO techniques to increase the traffic and brand exposure to their website.

Obviously, I have an extreme passion for Search Engine Optimization, but I also like Web Design, Graphic Design, Marketing, Local Search, Social Media, Entrepreneurship, and most especially WordPress!

8 Things You Didn’t Know About Me

  1. I’m currently a full-time student at ITT-Tech pursuing web design. I’m a self taught designer, so I figured it might be a good idea to put a degree behind it. I did go to school for other stuff, but what can I say…took me a while to find my career.
  2. I’m a former high-school three sport athlete (football, track, and basketball). I was all-league football player, dunked a basketball (once), benched 275lbs (can’t do that anymore), and once ran the 400 meter dash in 52 seconds. Pretty good for a nerdy computer geek!
  3. I’m a huge Cleveland & Ohio State sports fan. Go Browns, Cavs, Indians, and Buckeyes!
  4. I have a 3 year-old Golden Retriever named Rocky (after the movie).
  5. My top 5 desert island movies are: The Godfather (I & II, not 3), Rocky (1-4), Gangs of New York, O Brother Where Art Thou, and Lord of the Rings. I only count the trilogies as one.
  6. I’ve broken nearly every bone in my body and torn two knee ligaments. The tally: left arm (broken), left wrist (broken twice), right wrist (broken), nose (broken), left knee (torn ACL), right knee (torn ACL). Lets just say I was a very active child/teenager, and I have an incredible pain tolerance.
  7. My girlfriend and I met in a contest entitled, “Win a Date with Jake”. No further explanation necessary.
  8. I was born in an Air Force hospital in Wiesbaden, West Germany (when it was still East & West), and lived on the island of Crete until the age of 2.
