Today, I’ve decided to take a lighthearted approach to writing this post as opposed to all that heavy-handed, 1400-word SEO and Social Media crap! Who needs that stuff anyway?
I’m going to have a fun little contest – at potentially my own expense – and I hope you’ll participate. A big thanks goes out to UPrinting.com for sponsoring it. The winners of the contest will get free business cards! And even better yet, in order to win you get to make fun of me! It’s a classic WIN-WIN-WIN (for all you Office lovers)…

Come up with the best photo caption for the picture above and enter it in the comments section in order to win. Take this opportunity to take cheap-shots, make fun of me, or just be creative! It may be your only chance to do so without getting hit…jk!
I’ll be the judge, jury and executioner of this contest, and of course, if nobody comes up with anything good, nobody’s going to win (and I’ll take the business cards for myself WHAHAHAHA). Just kidding, somebody other than me will win!
Here are some ground rules:
- Keep it semi-clean (no sexual references but most other things are fair game).
- Minimal swearing (if any).
- Don’t be afraid to take some cheap shots at me!
- Have fun.
Quick Note: The contest is limited to residents of the U.S. and you must be 18 years or older.
I let the contest run until EOD Sunday Monday at which point I’ll decide on the lucky winners! There will be two. After that, I’ll be in touch with you through email to arrange your free business cards.
Quick Link Building FYI
Anybody who’s interested in Link Building should take an example from UPrinting.com. They took the the initiative to reach out to me (and I’ll assume others) and offered free services in return a simple backlink.
The person who contacted me wasn’t an automated bot, which is why I even considered it in the first place. For me, it really put a human face on their brand, and it is also a great way to begin to develop a relationship. In my opinion this is a completely ethical method of link building and more people should learn from their example. They have 118,913 links according to OpenSiteExplorer. Last time I checked, that’s pretty good!
P.S. If anybody wants to talk about buying links, save it! I didn’t get paid. The contest was their idea, I just came up with the idea on how to execute it! Now everyone hurray along and have fun making jokes about me.
P.S.S. Everyone should thank my Golden Retriever Rocky for allowing me to photograph him yesterday morning. I interrupted his breakfast. He’s a good sport though!

Update: And the lucky winners are…MaryMc and Justin Fried! They win free biz cards from @uprinting! Thanks for playing everone! It was a lot of fun.
